Here are some more zoo animals, up close and personal. Tina loves the monkeys, I like the bears, lions, and tigers. Oh, did I mention we got for free. Being educators, it was educators day, and all educators got in for free. From the entrance to the Hippos, the zoo actually increase by 10 stories to 6,882 ft. above seal level. Now I know that sounds like a lot, and it is...but Colorado Springs is at 6,220 ft. above sea level...quite the difference from 60 ft.
