Tina thought it might be fun to play Bingo tonight. She invited like half her center or something, I swear, we had a whole row of tables blocked off just for us. The main Bingo Jackpot was close to $6,000. The way it works is that there are several rounds of smaller prizes ($150-$200) dollars, and two big prizes ($1,100 and $6,000). However, to get the $6000 jackpot you must get a "black out" in 53 turns of less. If not, it goes down to $200 after 53 numbers have been called. Now let me tell you, we don't actually go in thinking that we will win. Nor do we go for the gourmet nachos and overly-priced drinks, or that wonderful smell. It is a time to be entrained and share some laughs with friends. None of us did win anything. I came two away from the $1,100 prize, but is seems so did 10 other people. Some old lady did win the $6,000 in 51 tries. Let me tell you, when the guy is calling the numbers, Tina is all game face. No joke, she is so serious and focused you'd think this was a professional Bingo player who was being televised on ESPN.
Hmmm, maybe that could be a new reality show? Even though we won squat, the laughs we walked away with were priceless. Thanks for the fun idea babe!
